From Mumbai Streets to
World Champion
Born on 26 June 1993 in Mumbai, Shivam Dube’s cricket journey is a story of resilience. Starting in school cricket at Hansraj Morarji Public School, he was forced to stop playing at 14 due to fitness challenges and financial constraints. He returned at 19, was selected for Mumbai Under-23s, and never looked back.
His Ranji Trophy debut was sensational — a five-wicket haul against Karnataka’s top order combined with a rapid 71 lower down. He became famous for hitting five sixes in an over not once, but twice — first in the Mumbai T20 League and then in the Ranji Trophy against Baroda.
A powerful left-handed striker who bats in the middle order, Shivam brings immense value as a genuine all-rounder. Known for his clean hitting especially against spin, he has the rare ability to shift momentum instantly in any match situation.
